I started in the beauty industry at 23 as a hairstylist, but somewhere along the way I realized I liked removing hair a whole lot more than styling it. What can I say? I like a clear-cut job. There was hair. Now there’s not. Beautiful.

Fifteen years later, I’ve learned that being good at waxing isn’t just about being fast (although I am VERY fast). It’s about making something that can feel intimidating, vulnerable, or awkward feel surprisingly easy.

I genuinely love people. Tell me your life story. Tell me the weird thing you’ve never told anyone. Tell me about your divorce, your new boyfriend, your questionable decision from Saturday night, or the niche hobby you could give a 45-minute TED Talk about. I want to hear it.

When I’m not removing body hair, I’m usually juggling approximately five creative projects at once. I sew, draw, sing, play ukulele, thrift things I absolutely did not need, rearrange my house, and hang out with my two cats. If I can escape to the mountains, even better. Give me camping, hiking, paddle boarding, a picnic, and a cold drink in the sun.
